   What about the various levels of membership that were showing up in anscers? What I mean is the designation of Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum that is determined by the number of responses members give to questions. It's nice to see that an answer comes from someone who's been posting for a while, and accordingly has experience behind their advice, as opposed to someone with one or two responses.

   I'd like to suggest that the same sort of tally be continued, and that the old tallies be preserved and brought over.

   Any thoughts?

   I will research both of those items. This software starts out bare bones and then you add plug ins that give you the extra functionality. I know they have several different types of user rating systems.

   Hello Dina,

   While your at it, please look into a 3rd item - please consider turning off the sign off / sign on fuction. If you sign on once, you should be able to leave yourself signed onto the site for the rest of the day.

   Here is what I found out about email addresses. We can see our own email addresses in our profile and the admin can see the email addresses - but other users can NOT see our email addresses.

   Dina, that isn't entirely accurate. Unless for some bizarre reason I got set up as an administrator, people CAN see other people's email addresses. By clicking on the word Member below anyone's name in this thread I can see their email address.

    Hello Dina,

    It's been about 3 weeks now.

    I was wondering if you have been able to find out anything about making our email information private? I'd prefer to avoid the spammers or people contacting me directly for what ever reason. I really liked the private message and privacy option on the old boards.

    Also I find the auto sign off / sign on fuction to be a real pain. To me, if I sign on once, I would like to remain signed on for the rest of the day.

    Jocelyn - thanks for bumping this back up. I have not forgotten about it - still looking for the best solutions and I was waiting for a stable version of the latest build of this community software before I proceeded.

    Referring back to the *original* subject of this thread, I still haven't received an answer about my proposal to continue having the various member levels, e.g., Bronze, Silver, and so forth. I would very much like to see that included in the capabilities of the new website. This should be a very simple funcionality to add, simply tallying the number of responses or posts for each member, as was done previously.

    Any thoughts?

    I just added a plug in to the Community called Reputation. It racks up Reputation points for every post and reply you make, and other community members can give you points by clicking the + sign next to your name. This is in answer to F Scott's request.

    For Sign On Sign Off - the site does store a cookie on your system so you do not need to sign on and off continuously. Unless I log off I can remain signed in for days. Please check cookie settings on your browser.

    The display of the email address is really proving tricky. I have not found any solution for removing it yet.
