Who is CMA?

Credit Management Association (CMA), founded in 1883, is a membership association with approximately 2000 member companies. CMA Members represent over 250 different business categories selling regionally, nationally and internationally. 

CMA is the largest affiliate of the National Association of Credit Management (NACM), whose 45 affiliates serve all of North America. 

CMA also operates a nonprofit foundation, Credit Executives Educational Foundation (CEEF), which provides credit education services.

CMA’s Mission 

It is our mission to support the credit management function. We do this by providing networking, information, products, and services for effective credit management and by promoting professional education and development. 

What do we do? 

Credit Management Association provides resources for the business credit professional charged with managing a company’s financial services. CMA offers services to help mitigate business credit risk, find and manage credit information, and communicate with other credit professionals. 

In addition, CMA assists insolvent companies with workouts or liquidation through cost-effective alternatives to bankruptcy.
