Michael Dennis receiving Instructor of the Year

In addition to volunteers, CMA also relies heavily on member instructors to fulfill CMA’s mission to provide professional development. This year, the Honors and Awards Committee would like to recognize an individual who has blended professional experience and expertise as an educator to provide CMA members with valuable instruction in the field of credit management. Among the highlights of his contributions:

  • He has been an instructor for CMA CAP and ACAP courses from 1991 to 2008, including Business Credit Principles and Financial Statement Analysis.
  • He instructed CMA’s very first Webinar on February 7, 2002, and has been a key contributor to CMA’s webinar training program ever since, having presented over 150 webinars for CMA and various other NACM Affiliates.
  • He is a regular presenter for NACM’s teleconference and web based training programs.
  • He has given presentations at more than 10 Western Region Credit Conferences, 3 at NACM National Credit Congress, and more than a dozen presentations at forums hosted by the Credit Research Foundation.

This individual will be officially nominated for the NACM National Awards Program in the categories of Instructor of the Year and CBF Designation of Excellence for 2012.

For his long history of instructional contributions to CMA and NACM Affiliates across the country, it is my pleasure to award the Instructor of the Year Award to Michael C. Dennis, CBF.
